Hey babes! I am so excited to share this haul with you. I have been a huge fan of Christine Andrew of Hello Fashion for a long time. If you don’t follow her, you need to, like right now πŸ™‚ Christine is the beauty and brains behind her blog but also her shop, ILY Couture.

I have purchased items from her shop before, but around President’s Day, ILY Couture was having a huge sale so I figured I would try out some of the pieces again. Besides the fact that I got things for $5 and $10, the pieces were so unique and different from what I had seen in a lot of the places I usually shop.

To start, I am in love with this off the shoulder top. The detailing on the sleeves is super cute and perfect for spring! I also can’t wait to find all the ways to wear this backless button up. My mind just keeps thinking business in the front, party in the back haha. Maybe a good piece for work to weekend?

The way Christine curates her shop directly correlates with her personal style. I love that some of the pieces I see her wearing is exactly what she has in the shop. If you know me, you know I couldn’t get away with just buying two things, head over to my Instagram stories to check out the rest of the pieces I purchased!

Happy Monday! I wanted to start the week off with this post as it’s one I’m really excited about. If you know me, which you will get to :), you know that I love a good deal. I’ve always loved designer goods but don’t really have the ability to support that love haha.

This year I did purchase my first designer bag, a Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM. I have to say I did not have buyer’s remorse after purchasing that bag. To me, Louis Vuitton bags are a classic. They never go out of style and I see them as an investment piece. However, there are some designer goods that I see more as a trend and not going to be around for the long haul.

I have rounded up my favorite designer dupes from Amazon. These pieces are all great quality and are so close to the real thing. I’m obsessed with the black belt as well as the black slide in sandals. I also have these sandals in tan and they go with EVERYTHING.

If you find yourself stuck between a dupe and the real thing, I would suggest getting the dupe first before the big purchase. Try the dupe out, see how you like it, and how well it fits with your personal style. If you love it and can’t live without it, I say make the purchase. But if not, keep the dupe and save for a piece that is classic and forever.

At the start of the New Year, I made a promise to myself to start loving the city I live in. I have lived in New York my whole life and have had moments of wanting to get as far away as I could but also moments of not wanting to ever leave.

I’ve spent time traveling across the country, started my college career down south, and have been to different parts of the state, but my heart has always called me back home.

I moved up to the Albany area about a year ago and my life changed in so many ways. I met my boyfriend about a week after moving here, lived in different apartments, changed jobs, and met new friends. I couldn’t be happier with the decision I made to start my own life here.

My journey to start loving and experiencing my city more started with State Street. At the heart of the city, this street is home to different shops, restaurants, hotels and ballrooms. As you reach the top, there’s an amazing view of the Capitol Building.

I challenge you, if you have ever felt this way, to find things that you love about your city. Branch out and try a new restaurant, shop in a new store and grab a drink at the trendiest bar. You never know what you’ll find or fall in love with πŸ™‚

Hey girl! So glad you’re here for my first post on Likely Lex. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a 20 something year old, fashion and lifestyle blogger from Upstate New York. I work as a graphic designer and live with my boyfriend in our small downtown apartment.

I am so excited to start sharing my life and passions with you! I have always been interested in fashion, choosing my outfits at age 3, even if that meant going to pre-school in a tutu. My parents and sister have been my biggest supporters and they are a big part of why I’m starting to live out my dream.

For my first post, I wanted to share a classic look and something that’s very Likely Lex πŸ˜‰ I’m a true lover of a basic tee and jeans. It’s comfy and casual but is a staple outfit every closet needs. I am also currently obsessed with these Golden Goose dupes. If you know me, which you will get to :), I am a HUGE fan of a good steal. I love a trendy piece for a great price.

Through this blog, I hope to help all women love where they are and feel comfortable in their own skin. I will always be open and honest with you guys and hope to meet every one of my readers through meet and greets or through online conversation. Make sure to check me out on Instagram at @LikelyLex! Have a great day πŸ™‚
