Happy Weekend babes! Every year when spring roles around I go to look at my shoes for the season and I always have a desire for something new. So that’s why this year I decided to invest in my shoe game for spring!
My mom and sister have and always will be my shoe goals but I’m starting to catch up 🙂 They just always find the best deals and the cutest shoes to pair with their outfits. So I thought I would bring a little bit of their inspo to this post.
The reason I’m loving all of these shoes for spring is because they are either a classic or can be carried into summer. Converse, to me, are always in style. They are a universal sneaker and can be paired with almost anything.
Also, a classic black sandal will get you through many seasons and a lot of outfits. I love these Steve Madden Greece sandals, not only are they a dupe, BUT, they look good with everything.
I seriously can’t wait to start wearing these shoes in the next couple of weeks. I’ll keep you posted on when the snow finally melts here in New York and I can break out these babies.
Around this time of year, I start to get really anxious and get desperate for warmer weather. I become sick of my winter clothes and just need a complete change up in my wardrobe.
One thing I have always tried to do is maximize my wardrobe. I always try to mix things up and wear different pieces together. I especially like to carry different items in my wardrobe over to the next season. You may think, how am I gonna wear my winter clothes in spring? Scroll down to see how I transitioned my winter wardrobe into spring!

Happy Monday! I wanted to start the week off with this post as it’s one I’m really excited about. If you know me, which you will get to :), you know that I love a good deal. I’ve always loved designer goods but don’t really have the ability to support that love haha.
This year I did purchase my first designer bag, a Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM. I have to say I did not have buyer’s remorse after purchasing that bag. To me, Louis Vuitton bags are a classic. They never go out of style and I see them as an investment piece. However, there are some designer goods that I see more as a trend and not going to be around for the long haul.
I have rounded up my favorite designer dupes from Amazon. These pieces are all great quality and are so close to the real thing. I’m obsessed with the black belt as well as the black slide in sandals. I also have these sandals in tan and they go with EVERYTHING.
If you find yourself stuck between a dupe and the real thing, I would suggest getting the dupe first before the big purchase. Try the dupe out, see how you like it, and how well it fits with your personal style. If you love it and can’t live without it, I say make the purchase. But if not, keep the dupe and save for a piece that is classic and forever.
Happy Saturday babes!
Sharing a round up of some of my favorite resort wear pieces from Target. If you’re going away or dreaming about summer, Target has exactly what you need. They also have BOGO 50% on all swimsuits, ending today!
Make sure to head over to my instastories this morning for a try-on of some of these pieces! Follow me on Instagram for more!
If you could choose to wear one style for the rest of your life, what would it be? For me, it would be athleisure. When I’m not dressed up for work, I’m in some sort of athleisure look.
I love this style because there are so many different ways to create it! You can wear leggings and sneakers or pair joggers with heels. It allows you to take your dressier pieces and mix them into your causal life.
For spring, I can’t get enough of jean jackets. They’re perfect for layering or adding a casual element to a dressier piece. I have been wearing them since I was little, a staple piece that never goes out of style.
My moto leggings are so comfy and versatile. They are also activewear so you can go from a workout to brunch!
Your version of athleisure is what you want it to be! It’s so easy to create new styles by mixing and matching different pieces in your closet. A challenge for you is to find your version of athleisure and tag me in your post! Find me on Instagram at Likely Lex!
Have you ever found that one dress you wear on repeat and then can’t get enough of? Well I have found THAT dress! This Leith dress comes in so many different colors and can be worn for so many occassions.
I’ve always been really into trying to create different outfits with all of the pieces in my closet. I don’t know why but I’m not a fan of repeating the same outfit but LOVE repeating certain pieces and styling it in a different way. As a girl who is often on a budget, talk about student loans and rent 😦 I’ve always had to find ways to change up my wardrobe using what I’ve got.
In look one, I decided to just pair the dress with earrings and heels. It’s perfect for date night or even a more causal wedding.
For look two, I paired the dress with a cardigan and blush mules. This simple, casual look is comfy enough for travel and perfect for a day out shopping with your girls.
Finally, for look three I paired this Leith dress with a jean shirt, sequin sneakers and a ball cap. This look is perfect for exploring a new city, cheering at a baseball game or brunch with your babe.
I hope that these looks will help you look at your closet in a different way. Try finding those staple pieces that you have and see how many different ways you can style it. It’s a fun challenge that will keep you loving everything in your closet.
For Christmas my Aunt gifted my boyfriend and I a weekend away at the Brewster Inn in Cazenovia, NY. Prior to this trip, I had never visited Cazenovia or the Brewster Inn, but was familiar with the area, as I went to college not far away.
This trip couldn’t have come at a more perfect time, as I was in major need of a weekend away and some time to relax. When we arrived at the Inn, it was even more beautiful than I had imagined. My first thought was “I totally feel like I’m in a Hallmark movie right now!” haha.
The Inn is full of rich history, nestled on Cazenovia Lake, and has a full wine cellar. Not sure it gets much better than that! During our stay we were able to take a tour of the wine cellar which is home to thousands of wines from across the country. We of course purchased a bottle to bring home with us, as a memory to keep from our trip.
I would highly recommend staying at the Brewster Inn if you’re in the Cazenovia or Central New York area. The town is filled with cute shops, the restaurant in the Inn is amazing and the view of the lake is breathtaking. This was surely a trip we will never forget.

At the start of the New Year, I made a promise to myself to start loving the city I live in. I have lived in New York my whole life and have had moments of wanting to get as far away as I could but also moments of not wanting to ever leave.
I’ve spent time traveling across the country, started my college career down south, and have been to different parts of the state, but my heart has always called me back home.
I moved up to the Albany area about a year ago and my life changed in so many ways. I met my boyfriend about a week after moving here, lived in different apartments, changed jobs, and met new friends. I couldn’t be happier with the decision I made to start my own life here.
My journey to start loving and experiencing my city more started with State Street. At the heart of the city, this street is home to different shops, restaurants, hotels and ballrooms. As you reach the top, there’s an amazing view of the Capitol Building.
I challenge you, if you have ever felt this way, to find things that you love about your city. Branch out and try a new restaurant, shop in a new store and grab a drink at the trendiest bar. You never know what you’ll find or fall in love with 🙂
